Case Studies

Alcohol Education Trust
September 2015 saw the start of a new project for the Alcohol Education Trust, funded by LEAF, allowing them to work specifically with schools in 3 new areas across the country (Isle of Wight, Burnley in Lancashire and East Tyneside) where alcohol related harms for young people are identified as being high (within local alcohol action areas). Secondary schools within the areas were invited to take part in the AET “Talk about alcohol” intervention because the alcohol specific hospital admissions rates for under 18yrs were amongst the highest in England.
